publish Guideline online
JRCALC have begun the process of
publishing their clinical guidelines online. The first
guideline available is the Recognition of Death by
ambulance service personnel (revised May 2000). The
guideline is published as an html docuemnt and
downloadable as a MS Word document.
JRCALC Awards - Pre-hospital Research Forum - AMBEX 2000
The JRCALC Award at the Pre-hospital Research Forum presentations at Ambex for "The research most likely to influence practice" was awarded to Paul Bastow (Lancashire Ambulance Service NHS Trust) for his paper/presentation on "Thrombolysis for Myocardial Infarction - Impact of ECG Telemetry".
Recipients of The Journal of Pre-hospital Immediate Care Awards were:
Best Poster : Jody Foster - "A national occupational health surveillance scheme for ambulance personnel attending chemical incidents"
Most Original Research: Mary Halter (LAS & Clin Age Research Unit, Kings) - "Older Fallers: A pilot study to assess those individuals who call 999 after a fall but are not conveyed to A&E".
